On most days, I turn to my standard makeup routine that takes me less than 10 minutes to complete. However, when I have a daylong wedding to attend or have an outdoor event to go to, I bust out the big guns. Here are 5 long-lasting makeup products that I swear by!
1. Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation
This award-winning foundation is as budge-proof as it gets. The liquid formula blends well and builds up to a medium coverage, with a natural, semi-matte finish. Whilst I do find it a tad heavy to wear on a daily basis, it serves me well on humid days.
2. Stila Micro Tip Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner
I’ve professed my love for this eye liner in several articles because it really is worth the price! The jet black formula gives me the glossy, cat-eye I need, without smudging or bleeding. I’ve even fallen asleep with it (accidentally, of course) and have woken up with a flawless wing. That’s how incredible it is!
3. Benefit Roller Lash Curling Mascara
Since I only use my heavy-duty makeup for special events, I reserve this mascara for those days too. The brush ensures that my lashes stay curled and inky, without any clumps. Unlike many mascaras that I’ve tried in the past, this one truly does not flake or fade throughout the day.
4. Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick
Coffee dates, burgers and kisses are no match for this intense lipstick. The pigmented formula delivers an ultra matte finish that stays put right until you want to take it off with a cleansing oil. If you are looking for recommendations, I would suggest picking up a tube of ‘Pioneer’, which is a bold red, or ‘Lover’, a pretty, muted pink.
5. MAC Prep + Prime Fix+
Who hasn’t heard of this iconic setting spray? Infused with green tea, chamomile and cucumber, this fine mist hydrates and soothes my skin, whilst locking down my makeup. If I’m going to spending a lot of time in the sun, I carry a travel-sized version of this spray so that I can refresh my makeup midday.
