If you’ve been following MissMaliniBeauty on Instagram for a while, you’ll know that we don’t take using a sunscreen lightly. Being in the beauty industry, we’ve been fortunate enough to meet the best of skincare experts and they all agree on one thing—sunscreen is the most important part of a skincare routine. No matter which high-quality product you use, if you don’t follow it up with sunscreen, then you’re setting your skin up for danger. One thing people that people tend to ignore is the reapplication of sunscreen. Even though it is advised to reapply sunscreen every 2-3 hours (because heat and sweat can melt off your sunscreen) we all tend to ignore this step. So here’s how you can reapply it without spoiling your makeup:
1. Use Makeup With SPF:
Ask any dermatologist and they’ll tell you that when it comes to sunscreens, the more the better! So when you’re buying new makeup, look out for products that contain SPF. However, don’t think that the SPF from the makeup products is enough to protect your skin. Before you apply makeup, apply a layer of sunscreen.
2. Use A Powder With SPF:
This is probably the easiest way to apply sunscreen without messing up your makeup. Invest in a powder sunscreen that you can just brush onto your skin for some extra protection.
3. Dab On Some Sunscreen With A Makeup Sponge
I learnt this trick from Dr Dray‘s YouTube channel. We all should ideally reapply sunscreen every two to three hours. However, if you are wearing makeup, reapplication may become a problem. However, we cannot neglect this step. That’s why you should reapply sunscreen with a makeup sponge onto your skin. This will add a layer of sunscreen to your skin without ruining your makeup.
