You know when you think Ayushmann Khurrana just delivered back to back hits and that he will take a breather in between. Yeah, he’s not the one to do that because he has got another sure shot entertainer with Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. The first installment, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, starring Ayushmann and Bhumi Pednekar was based around how a couple dealt with the guy’s struggle with erectile dysfunction. Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is based around the taboos and the many struggles of two people in a homosexual relationship in a small town in India.
With the Badhaai Ho trio – Ayushmann, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao – reuniting for this one, we can be sure of some great camaraderie and entertainment throughout. Jitendra Kumar as Ayushmann’s love interest looks super interesting and we are loving their chemistry. Directed by Hitesh Kewalya, the film boasts of some rather quirky one-liners and witty dialogues that show how such a large population in India are so innately homophobic.

Taking a subject like homosexual relationships and looking at addressing the various taboos and misconceptions around it through humour is not an easy task. But these guys certainly have nailed it.
Produced by Anand L Rai, Bhushan Kumar and Himanshu Sharma, the film is all set to hit the screens on 21st Feb and we cannot wait to catch it.
