For those of you who don’t know, for the past week, all the international media could talk about was Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s announcement that they will be stepping back as senior Royals. The couple did this to take up work and become financially independent. The same was shared on their official Instagram.

Not long after the hashtag #Megxit started trending all over social media. While many were shocked, us Indians found entertainment through this. Particularly Bollywood fans. Many social media users couldn’t help but notice similarities between the plot of Karan Johar‘s iconic movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Remember how Rahul and Anjali leave Rahul‘s home in the first half of the movie? Yup. Twitter couldn’t stop and went on a meme fest drawing comparisons between the two.
