Sanjay Dutt has been one celebrity who has lived a life where he has managed to see everything from the happy highs to the lowest of the lows. In the past, he has spent some time in prison owing to his possession of illegal weapons. He is long past it and has come back to living a normal life with his wife and children, but there are times when he might go back to reminisce about his struggles there.
Recently, on The Kapil Sharma Show, Sanjay opened up about his time in jail. In the promo of the show, Kapil talks to the actor about the film Sanju which was based on his life. In the film, Ranbir Kapoor is seen learning to make envelopes and paper bags and even hosting a radio show. So, Kapil asks him about how long he took to learn those skills.
To that Sanjay explains:
Kapil, it took me a lot of time to learn these skills. Actually, the thing is that one needs to work in jail. You cannot make excuses. We had to work if we wanted to shorten our jail time. We used to get points for the work. When I made an envelope, I used to get 10 paise for it.
When Kapil asks him what he did with the money he made, he says:
I used to collect the money so that I send a gift to my sisters on Rakhi.
How sweet, right? Watch the promo of the show here. We can’t wait to see the entire episode now.
Sanjay Dutt was there to promote his film, Panipat on Kapil’s show. Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, this historical drama co-stars Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in lead roles.
