Sonakshi Sinha is currently waiting for her upcoming release Dabangg 3 alongside Salman Khan. It almost seems like yesterday when Sona debuted in the first installment of Dabangg. Talking about the same, she said how Dabangg is what made her realise what her true calling was and how she never thought of being an actor until Salman told her that she was doing the film. This is the third time she’ll be returning as Rajjo to the Dabangg franchise and we’re super excited to see her reprise her role. Talking to IANS, she opened up about her relationship with Salman.
She said:
My bond with him goes beyond a professional relationship of co-actors. I knew him before I started acting. Our families have known each other for a long time now, and I have known him more as a friend than a co-star.
Salman and Sonakshi’s on-screen chemistry is crackling and their off-screen camaraderie might be a reason for it too.
When asked about whether she fears that she’ll get typecast in Rajjo type roles she says, “Not at all”
She further added:
At the end of the day it was my first film and I take it in a positive stride that I made that kind of an impact on some. I have been lucky enough to have worked on films from different genres enhancing my experience.
Dabangg 3 hits theatres on 20th December 2019 and stars Arbaaz Khan, Amole Gupte, Mahie Gill, Tinnu Anand, Mahesh Manjrekar‘s daughter Saiee Manjrekar and south Indian superstar Sudeep Sanjeev.
