Even though I consider myself to be a self-proclaimed beauty expert, I have to say that when it comes to eyeshadows, I’m a total noob. I’m the kind of person that prefers a bold lip rather than going heavy on eye makeup. This is not only because of my personal preferences but also because of the fact that I’m a rookie when it comes to applying eyeshadow. So you can only imagine my plight when I see all the gorgeous eye makeup looks on Instagram. However, I got over my fear of using eyeshadow by understanding that like anything else in life, you should always start small and work your way up to it. So if you’re also a beginner like I am, then try out these easy eye makeup looks:
1. Iridescent Pop Of Colour
Eyeshadow doesn’t always have to have a dozen of colours for it to look good. If you want to make your eyes stand out then all you have to do is add a small pop of colour in the inner corners of your eyes. What I love about this eye makeup look is the way the pop of iridescent lavender is complementing the colour of the eyes!
2. Feline Flick
You can’t ever go wrong with a good kohl eye pencil, amirite? What makes this eye makeup look very easy to recreate is that you only need one product to create it. Look for an eye pencil with a rubber smudger, so that you can easily blend out any harsh lines.
3. Icy White Liner
I was fiercely loyal to my regular ol’ black eyeliner until I got my hands on a white eyeliner. If you want a low effort edgy eye makeup look, then you have to try out white eyeliner!
4. Smokey Brown
Classics never go out of style. This minimal brown eyeshadow look is perfect to wear for all occasions. All you need is two shades of brown eyeshadow and a fluffy brush. Apply the lighter brown on your eyelids and apply the darker brown eyeshadow close to your upper and lower lash line.
5. Warm Tones + Classic Wing
Say hello to my go-to eye makeup look. Since it’s so easy to do and literally takes only five minutes to achieve, I do this look every day. All you have to do is sweep a few coats of a warm eyeshadow colour across your lids and finish it off with a winged eyeliner.
