Kriti Kharbanda is at the top of her game. We really like how the actress has managed to carve a niche for herself and is happy being a part fo the projects she’s chosen. Recently she had a hit at the box office with Housefull 4 and now Kriti will next be seen in Anees Bazmee‘s Pagalpanti. While everything seems to be working for the actress, there were reports that due to her tantrum, she was asked to leave from her next project, Chehre. The courtroom drama is directed by Rumi Jafry and is produced by Anand Pandit and also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi.
While the news spread like wildfire, the makers tweeted this morning that the actress wasn’t asked to leave but it was a mutual decision.
When we reached out to Kriti for her comment on the same, the actress exclusively said that she has no connection with the source.
Very frankly my reaction to it is… it is supposedly a source story. I have no connection with that source; I do not know where it is coming from. On the basis of what was written through a source, I am not going to ruin my relationship with Rumiji (Jafry) and Anandji (Pandit). I honestly have no comment on the article. We had decided to mutually part ways which is why we had to go out and tweet about it because it was getting ugly for no reason. We had a conversation this morning about why was it getting out of hand. It was a mutual decision which both parties made. In a creative space, there is bound to be a certain kind of conflict.
She further added that if I had whatever issues that were mentioned in the article, she wouldn’t have gotten so far.
The language that is used in the article doesn’t sound like the people I was interacting with. I know it has not come from them and I have that faith. I also have faith in myself as an actor. I have worked so hard for 10 years and got here. If I had whatever issues that were mentioned in the article, I wouldn’t have gotten so far. I think as an actor, I know better than that, ki itni badi picture mein, aapko lagta hai ki as an actor who is an outsider, she would want to screw up? Or she could screw up? I am very careful with the way I talk to people. I have a very simple policy which I have always followed, if you want respect, you give respect. So if I don’t give that to someone, I won’t get it.
Kriti also said that the film’s script is brilliant and it was the date issue that caused them to mutually part ways.
It is a fantastic script and it is unfortunate that we couldn’t make things work. I do have a few date issues. I can’t help it. Certain things are beyond my control. We parted ways, happily and mutually. I just shot for a day because my schedule was supposed to start now but unfortunately with my prior commitments and the schedule being pushed a little bit, I couldn’t match my dates and it was as simple as that. The only reason I didn’t give a comment back then because, I don’t know that source, I don’t trust it. Aapke liye reliable hoga, mere liye nahin hai. So what do I do with that? I left it at that.
Now that Kriti has commented, we hope that there is no fuel to this fire.
