Pankaj Tripathi is a name to reckon with in the industry. The talent house has proved his mettle in every film he has been a part of and still continues to win our hearts. It is hence given that that netizens are searching for him on social media. While the actor wasn’t part of Instagram initially, he was compelled to join it over the weekend after a fake account posted a picture which later created a lot of noise, reported Midday.
The fake account had posted a picture with featured Pankaj with Vicky Kaushal, Rajkummar Rao and Manoj Bajpayee. While everything was perfect about the picture it was the caption that created the problem. The account had captioned the image calling them the new-age actors. This caption didn’t go down too well with the netizens who started trolling him for not including female actors into his self-proclaimed bracket.
Talking about it, Pankaj said:
There were umpteen fake accounts under my name. [Things came to a head when] one of the accounts posted an inappropriate picture that was picked up by portals. That picture became a news item, much to my dismay. I couldn’t report the fake account because I wasn’t on Instagram.
Now that the actor has finally joined Instagram, we hope that things get clear and something like this doesn’t happen again.
