Kangana Ranaut is one to take on challenges when it comes to her work. Be it a Judgementall Hai Kya or a Manikarnika, she never holds back when it comes to her roles and we love her for that! Now, she is gearing up for her biopic on the late Tamil actress and politician, J. Jayalalithaa. This being unchartered territory for her, she is putting in all the hard work to get into character.
Kangana had to learn Tamil for the role, which is the dominantly spoken language in Tamil Nadu. Recently, she was at a launch event of a beauty salon where she was asked how she was prepping for the role. To that, Kangana answered saying she found learning Tamil hard. For someone with no exposure to the language before, it is commendable that she is trying so hard.
Here’s what she said:
I am finding it difficult to learn Tamil. This film will be released in Hindi and Tamil, so we will do something about it. Obviously, I have to mug up those dialogues because Tamil is not an easy language. Earlier, I was trying to learn the complete Tamil language because I have learned English as well, but now I am learning Tamil as per the demand of film’s script.
Apart from learning Tamil, Kangana has also had to learn Bharatnatyam and sit through hours of prosthetic make-up sessions to achieve her look for the film.
