For parents today, technology and the internet is such a blessing isn’t it? It is great that they can capture every small little moment with their child. And, don’t we all love it when our fav celebs share the cutest pictures of their little ones on Instagram? One of our favourites being Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu‘s baby girl, Inaaya Kemmu!
Soha recently lent her voice for an audio book, Karadi Tales, on the VOOT Kids App, and was at the launch event. While there, she spoke about everything — from her favourite cartoons to how motherhood has changed her. When we asked her about how she and baby Inaaya deal with the constant presence of the paparazzi around them, Soha said that it is not just the paps who are the problem in this regard.
Here’s what she said:
I don’t think the paparazzi is the problem, I think it’s the technology and how we abuse it. I think every household is responsible for taking too many pictures of their children, not just my child. They are being photographed way too much, by some family members, and that child is thinking that the world revolves around them. I myself have been taking so many pictures of Inaaya. I had to remind myself to let her be. Sometimes she’ll come to me and take the phone and put it away and I’ll be like, God!, you know.
When mentioned about how Taimur Ali Khan nowadays says ‘No’ to photographers, Soha agrees and says that the kids actually don’t want to be photographed. She adds, “They just want to do what their doing without being documented all the time and we should let them be. So yeah, it’s not just the paps who should tone it down, it’s us.”
Now, this is something we must all think about, ain’t it? While brother Saif Ali Khan and his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan have expressed their concerns in this regard, Soha too has a valid point in this discussion.
