Shah Rukh Khan is called the King of Bollywood for a reason. Aside from his heartfelt performances, his charm and wit aside, it’s just how humble he is about what he does. Last month, the actor had made headlines for saving Aishwarya Rai‘s manager Archana Sadanand at the Bachchan’s Diwali bash. Archana’s lehenga had caught on fire from a diya while at the party. And while many around her were stunned at what was happening, SRK had the presence of mind to run to her and douse the fire with the help of a jacket as per reports in Mid-Day. Later a report in Bollywood Hungama, suggested that it was actually Ash who saved her manager.
A source told the website that Archana was walking down the stairs when her dupatta caught fire and her lehenga was aflame in no time. It was Ash who ran to her and tore away the burning portion of Archana’s dupatta.
So, naturally, SRK fans wanted answers. The superstar who had come down to greet fans for his birthday was asked about the incident. But Shah Rukh was quick to dodge the question.
He said:
I don’t want to talk about this. It’s personal.
He further added that one statement leads to another and further speculation is created. He said that he is just glad that whoever got hurt in the incident is safe.
Like the superstar mentioned, no matter who it was that saved Archana – SRK or Ash, we’re just glad she has escaped with minor injuries and is well on her way to recovery.
On the work front, Shah Rukh was last seen in Anand L Rai‘s Zero. He is currently on a hiatus while in discussion with various directors for his next project. Aishwarya who was last seen in Fanney Khan is the voice of Maleficent in Hindi for the movie Maleficent: The Mistress Of Evil.
