Diwali 2021: Deepika Padukone’s Draupadi Film To Clash With Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s muse. Every time the actors collaborate with the filmmaker, they manage to create fireworks at the box office. Be it with Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani or the very recent Padmaavat, the trio has always managed to impress the audience with their collaboration. Last week, Deepika had announced that she would be stepping into the character of Draupadi and narrate the story of Mahabharat from her point of view. While we were super excited to see the film, recently another announcement came from Bhansali Productions.

While Sanjay’s next film, Gangubai Kathiawadi will feature Alia Bhatt essaying the role of a gangster, the filmmaker announced his next, Baiju Bawra and it will be clashing with Deepika’s film.

The production house tweeted,

While Deepika’s Draupadi film will be clashing with SLB’s Baiju Bawra, we are looking forward to witnessing both these films on the celluloid. Deepika and SLB have proved their mettle and it will be a treat for fans on Diwali 2021. Apart from this film, Deepika will next be seen in Meghna Gulzar‘s directorial Chhapaak which is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. She is also a part of Kabir Khan‘s ’83 and will be seen essaying the role of Romi Dev.

Coming back to the clash, we are eagerly looking forward to witnessing both these films!
