It’s that time of the year again when our doorsteps are adorned with colourful rangolis and diyas, brand new sparkly outfits are added to our wardrobe and in general, our life becomes more LIT! (Quite literally). Along with the festive season, comes the overwhelming feeling of having to look your absolute best to attend all the parties and events. You may think that you need a billion makeup products to achieve that “pataka” makeup look. However, we’re here to tell you that you only need a few essentials to create a stunning festive beauty look.
Yesterday, Natasha Patel and I, hosted a live session on Malini’s Girl Tribe about this very topic. From makeup tips and tricks to chatting about our favourite products, we covered everything you need to know before getting dolled up for the festive season. So if you missed the live, don’t freak out! You can watch it Malini’s Girl Tribe on Facebook anytime you want. If you’re curious to know mine and Natasha’s favourite beauty products to use for the festive season, then you’re in the right place. Here are some of our go-to products for the festive season:
Eesha‘s Go-To Festive Makeup Products:
1. Pixi, Eyeshadow Palette:
If you’re a noob to eyeshadows or you just don’t know how to apply it properly, then this eyeshadow palette will be the perfect one to start with. Since it has all the classic colours like browns, taupes and a few shimmery shades, this palette is great for beginners.

2. Lancôme, Grandiose Liner:
If you love winged eyeliner as much as I do, then you have to try out this product. Do you know how frustrating it is to get the applicator at the correct angle? Well, with this product you won’t have to worry about getting the correct angle. You can bend the wand of this product to get the perfect angle to apply your winged eyeliner. As a self-proclaimed eyeliner expert, I’d give this product a solid 10/10.
3. Benefit, Cosmetics Cookie Powder Highlighter:
What’s a festive beauty look without a pop of shimmery highlighter, amirite? Apologies for quoting something super cliché, but “dewy skin is always in”. However, if you have oily skin, pulling off the “glass skin” makeup look can be very tricky. If you have oily skin as I do then you should stick to a powder highlighter like this one, so that you don’t go overboard.
Natasha’s Go-To Festive Makeup Products:
1. Smashbox, Cover Shot Eye Palettes In ‘Golden Hour’:
This eyeshadow palette has a gorgeous collection of colours that are absolutely perfect for the festive season! From sultry browns to shimmery goldens, this eyeshadow palette is all your eyelids need this festive season!
2. Maybelline, Powder Matte Lipstick In Rosewood Red:
Isn’t a bold lip the easiest and chicest option for a festive beauty look? This deep shade of maroon will instantly make your lips stand out and make elevate your makeup look to the next level. However, if you choose to doll up your lips with this shade make sure you don’t go overboard with your eye makeup. It’s all about balance!
3. Estée Lauder, Double Wear Brush-On Glow BB Highlighter:
This is one of Natasha’s favourite beauty products! So much so that she used it to a point that the writing on the product has faded! This product works wonders at brightening and illuminating your skin, hence it works well at hiding your undereye bags.
