The Ghaziabad court has reportedly issued a non-bailable warrant against ace choreographer-director, Remo D’Souza over an alleged fraud case. As per a report in India Today, Satyender Tyagi, a resident of Raj Nagar, Ghaziabad alleged that Remo took Rs 5 crores from him in 2016 in order to finance his upcoming film, Amar Must Die.
He claimed that the choreographer promised to double the investment and return Rs. 10 crores to him post the film’s release. However, D’Souza hasn’t returned the money yet. Additionally, since the complaint was filed in Meerut, the law requires permission to serve a warrant in a different state, which is Maharashtra in this case.
Remo failed to appear in court, and therefore, the non-bailable warrant was issued against him.
