5 Festive Looks From Our Favourite Bollywood Ladies To Inspire Your Diwali OOTD

Snehal Fernandes

The festivities have already begun and Diwali is just a week away! It’s really that time of the year where you work hard and party harder still managing to look like a gazillion bucks after a long day. But between shuffling from work to play, there’s very little time left to put your thought for your OOTN, amirite? It’s great that you have a fashion BFF like us, so here are a few looks we would love you to recreate from our favourite leading ladies!

Shine Bright, Always!

Talking about patakas at Diwali, how can we not start with Kareena Kapoor Khan? She proves that shining bright with a dazzling outfit is always a win-win. If it’s a last-minute look, turn to sequins and glossy textured Indian wear, in subtle hues to make a statement without going OTT. I mean, why not sparkle inside out, right?

Delicate Whites!

Deepika Padukone and stylist, Shaleen Nathani always smack us with the most gorgeous looks. Anything white is another great option for an effortless Diwali look. It’s understated but that’s the beauty of it. Trust us, this one is one of our personal favourites.

Phool-Jhadi!

Flower power is a great way to keep it fun and young with your Diwali look. It’s also a no-brainer and sure hit for a Diwali party and Aditi Rao Hydari makes a great case for floor length anarkali kurtas in this print.

Layered Lace!

Lace in all kinds of Indian wear is always alluring. Investing in pieces mixed with lace embroidered dupattas instantly adds a festive touch to any look. We also love how Athiya Shetty opted for a pair of earrings with the scalloped end of the dupatta used as detail around her neckline.

Mix & Match!

Saving the best for the last and the most experimental look to pull off this Diwali—we spotted  Sonam Kapoor rocking this Anamika Khanna look for the grand final at #LMIFWSS20. It’s the perfect amalgamation of West meet East, which is my personal style. Throw on a jacket, blazer or trench over your sarees and your good to rock the most fashionable look of the year.

So these were a few looks we’re drawing inspiration from this Diwali, which one was your favourite? Let me know in the comments below.
