Galaxy apartments is synonymous with Salman Khan. Whether it’s his birthday or Eid or the release of bhai’s new film or just any other day – fans always throng Bandra’s famous landmark for a glimpse of the superstar.
However, Sallu is all set to bid goodbye to the place he has called home since childhood. The actor, along with his entire family, is all set to move into a new house situated in Chimbai, Bandra. Reportedly, Salman was keen on getting a bigger and better place for a while now and the construction will begin soon.
As per a report in Mid-Day, Salman’s parents, Salma and Salim Khan bought the property in 2011 for Rs 14.4. It consists of two cottages – Belle Mar and Belle Vue – originally owned by a certain Mary Clotilda Baptista. She, in turn, sold it to Charlotte Mary Pereira in 1956 and after her death, her sons sold it to Salim Shaikh in 2005. It was eventually sold to the Khans and the rest, as you know, is history.
The report also stated the basic architectural plan the family has in mind. They intend to build a ground plus five storey structure. The ground floor will have a family room, a pantry and an entrance lobby whereas the upper floors will have a two-bedroom flat each. The building will also have two basements with parking slots for 16 cars; and an open terrace with a dome in the centre.
Sounds quite grand and spacious, doesn’t it?! We are sure the house will be huge enough and apt for the Khan-daan that loves to host friends and family, celebrate all festivals and stay together as a joint family. Hum Saath Saath Hai!
