Saturday afternoon witnessed one of the most magical shows at Paris Fashion Week 2019. Obviously, we’re talking about the #ZoyaXRahulMishra show (reppin’ India, of course)! The gorgeous 3D appliqué work and stunning silhouettes that were tied in with handcrafted fine jewels from Zoya simply took our breath away. Lucikly for us, seated at the front-row and dressed to the nines in Rahul Mishra was our very own Boss Lady, Malini Agarwal who gave us a firsthand view of everything that took place; from the backstage to straight-off-the-runway scoop.
Completing his eleventh year at Paris Fashion Week, Rahul Mishra‘s collection was inspired by architecture and florals that played with cuts, structure, 3D embellished motifs and cityscape cut-outs, offering a varied range of co-ord separates, billowy maxi dresses and enviable blazers. The artisanal jewellery from Zoya was a match made in heaven when teamed with his couture. From dainty necklaces to diamond-encrusted chokers and embellished dangler earrings—everything from the collection was an eclectic mix of traditional and modern techniques. We loved how this collection had a wearable approach and nothing was too OTT. Here’s a peek at everything that went down on the runway at the #ZoyaXRahulMishra show:

Our personal favourite piece of jewellery was the embellished, white-enamel earrings with pearl drops that are perfect for the upcoming festive season.

What was interesting to note was Rahul’s collection was actually inspired by flowers potted by his gardener in the backyard and the reflection of the cityscape that he spotted while sitting by the beach somewhere in Hongkong.
