Emraan Hashmi will next be seen in the Netflix Original web series, Bard Of Blood, which is being produced by Shah Rukh Khan‘s Red Chilli Entertainment. While King Khan isn’t a part of the series, he is promoting it with the rest of the cast. Just recently, the lead actor of the show, Emraan spoke about his experience shooting for a promo video with King Khan. In the video, Emraan says that he had to call SRK ‘Dhakkan‘ or ‘Dabba‘ for a concept-based video and was a little embarrassed calling such a big star names like that.
Talking to IANS, he said:
I felt bad because in that video, I used some bad words for him (Shah Rukh Khan). He has a very profound impact on me as an artist and as a person, because I have grown up watching his films. But in that video, I referred to him as ‘dhakkan’ and ‘dabba’ (idiot) and then I put a cloth bag on his head so, I felt bit embarrassing doing that but we had to shoot it for professional reasons.
Well, imagine getting a chance to share screen space with someone you grew up watching and admire, and having to swear at them on their face. Not the most flattering situation for either party. We totally get you, Emraan. But SRK is one helluva sport, and we are sure he would have taken it all in good spirit!
Bard Of Blood is based on the book which has been written by Bilal Siddiqi and is a spy thriller which also stars Kirti Kulhari, Sobhita Dhulipala, Vineet Kumar Singh, among others. The series premieres on Netflix on the 27th of September.
