Sacred Games is one of the most-watched shows not only in India but all over the world for being one super engaging gangster flick. Fans of the show were waiting with bated breath for the second season of the show, which released last month. As a show produced in India, it sure is a proud feeling when our homegrown web series goes on to be nominated for the International Emmy Awards. Netflix‘s favourite girl, Radhika Apte has also managed to bag a nomination at the Emmy‘s for the role in the anthology – Lust Stories.
Starring Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sacred Games is directed by Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Neeraj Ghaywan. The show has been nominated in the best drama category and shares a spot among other shows like Contra Todos from Brazil, McMafia from the UK and Bad Banks from Germany. Anurag took to his social media to share the news. He wrote: “What a day. 3 Emmy Nominations. 1.lust stories (best miniseries), 2.Sacred Games (best Drama), 3. Radhika Apte(best actress-Lust Stories).”
