It’s always such a proud moment when one of our very own actors from Bollywood goes on to put us on the global map with their work. Be it Priyanka Chopra Jonas or Deepika Padukone, their stints in Hollywood projects have been greatly appreciated. Another talented actor who has made that happen is Ali Fazal.
After playing the lead in the British film, Victoria and Abdul, this actor is now all set to star in a film opposite actress Gal Gadot a.k.a Wonder Woman. The film is a modern-day adaptation of Agatha Christie’s novel Death On The Nile and is set to be directed by Kenneth Branagh, who has previously directed films like the Thor series, Hamlet, As You Like It, Murder On The Orient Express, among others.
The film is based on the same premise as the novel. It is set around an investigation that Hercule Poirot sets upon due to certain mysterious events that occur on a cruise ship on the Nile. And that is – murder. The film explores the various events that transpire with the suspects as the investigation proceeds.
Confirming the news, Ali said:
Yes, I am part of this wonderful journey and I look forward to being a part of it. My mother and I have always been huge fans of Agatha Christie Novels.
The film goes on floors later this month in London and is going to be shot in other parts of Europe. We cannot wait to see Ali kill it in his new project.
