What are friends for if they don’t embody the ‘A friend in need is a friend indeed’ saying atleast once in their life, right? Dwayne Johnson a.k.a. The Rock was the ‘friend indeed’ for BFF Kevin Hart recently, and it was the sweetest!
Stand-up comedian and actor, Kevin Hart recently suffered from major injuries after a car crash. Dwayne, who was his co-star in Jumanji: The Next Level, and a very good friend in real life, posted a tweet expressing his concern for his friend’s state. But that’s not all, he even cut short his honeymoon so that he could fill in for Hart on the chat show ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show‘.
For the uninitiated, The Rock recently tied the knot with longtime partner, Lauren Hashian, in a private ceremony in Hawaii. He was on his honeymoon when he heard of his friend’s unfortunate accident and didn’t hesitate to help him out. Cutting short spending time with his wife, Dwayne attended the first episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show and kept it running smoothly.
Kelly sure was super excited about him being there as her first guest and tweeted, “When Dwayne @TheRock Johnson leaves his honeymoon early to be the first guest,” along with a video of the actor.
Here is her tweet:
That is indeed a super sweet gesture, isn’t it? The Rock also shared the video stating that he did leave his honeymoon early, but that his wife approves because she loves Kelly, the host of the the show!

Kevin Hart’s car crash in Calabasas, California led to him and the driver (his friend, Jared Black) suffer from major injuries, while Jared Black’s fiance, Rebecca Boxterman, who was sitting behind, did not face serious consequences. TMZ reported that Hart suffered from three spinal fractures and that he was being operated for it. Hart’s wife, Eniko Parrish spoke to the publication to give an update about her husband’s condition and said that he was “going to be just fine”.
We do hope the Jumanji actor gets well real soon, and pray for his recovery.
