Being born in a film family, everyone thinks life’s going to be amazing for the kids. But that’s not the case always. There’s a side to it that is rarely spoken about. Karan Deol, who is going to make his Bollywood debut with Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, shares his story. Being Sunny Deol’s son was the reason for him getting bullied in school not only by students but also by teachers.
Karan Deol, in an interaction with Humans Of Bombay, recalled the first memory of school he has. “I was in 1st grade. We had a sports competition and I was taking part in a race. I was standing there when suddenly a few older boys surrounded me. One of them lifted me up, and in front of everyone, smacked me down. He then asked me, ‘Are you sure you’re Sunny Deol’s son? You can’t even fight back’. I was so embarrassed,” he said.
He also shared this one incident when he didn’t do well in an assignment. In the middle of the class, his teacher came up to him and said, ‘You’re only capable of writing your dad’s cheques, and nothing else.’
But through this all, his mother, Pooja Deol has been his constant support. Karan shares more about it in the post.
