‘This was destined to happen’ or ‘It was destiny that brought you to this place’. Most of us have been told this or have heard someone say this to us. Where not everyone believes in destiny, there’s one Bollywood actor we know who sure does. It’s none other than Sonam Kapoor Ahuja. In her upcoming Bollywood film, The Zoya Factor she plays the role of Zoya, an executive in an advertising agency. She then happens to meet the Indian Cricket Team and becomes their lucky charm.
At the trailer launch of the film, she spoke about how she’s also been lucky for her father, Anil Kapoor in real life and how things changed for him after her birth.
She said:
The meaning of my name Sonam is ‘lucky’ and when I was conceived, my father’s life actually changed. During that period, his films like Ram Lakhan and Tezaab did really well, so my parents think that I am very lucky for them. A couple of astrologers has read my janam patri (birth chart) and they said that I am lucky for the men in my life. So I don’t know.
She also added:
I believe a bit in luck but I believe a lot in destiny and everyone has to work hard. So, I feel it is the combination of these three things. I feel eventually, whatever happens, happens because it is meant to happen because of your karma and which can be hard work. So, god only knows what is right and what is wrong. I think we Indian inherently believe in the combination of these aspects.
We surely do believe in the combination of these aspects. If not all, most of us do.
The Zoya Factor also stars Dulquer Salmaan in the lead and will be releasing on 20th September 2019.
