Earlier this week, Kareena Kapoor Khan revealed the name of her first crush ever and it’s not Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan. Turns out it is 1990 film Aashiqui‘s hero and that era’s heartthrob, Rahul Roy. In fact on an episode of Dance India Dance, the actress admitted that she had watched the film eight times in the theatre just for the actor.
Talking about her childhood crush, she said:
My first crush was the hero of one my favourite films. I actually went to the theatre eight times to watch the film because of him and the songs of the film. This film’s song had become a rage and I am a little nervous to say this after so long – my first crush was Rahul Roy. Everyone was in love with him during his film Aashiqui.
This is huge news! While Aashiqui was all the rage back in the 90s, we didn’t get to see Rahul in many other films after that. His next major claim to fame was being a part of the first season of Bigg Boss. Nevertheless, it’s not every day that Kareena reveals that she used to have a crush on someone. So, as you can imagine Rahul was over the moon when he got to know. The actor shared an article clipping of the news saying he was speechless.
Check it out:
Today, the actor took to Instagram again to post about Kareena’s revelation. He thanked her for the kind words that she said about him and also revealed that he too was a fan of how candid and honest she is. Rahul further added that one day he hoped to work with her as he has with her sister Karisma Kapoor.
Take a look:
That is super sweet. Don’t you think?
On the work front, Kareena will next be seen in Good News alongside Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani.
