Sara Ali Khan is undoubtedly one of the smartest newcomers in the industry who has floored everyone with her acting skills and her witty and intelligent mind off-screen. But, given her strong educational background, one question people always have for her is whether acting was her first career choice.
But, Sara shares that ever since she knew of anything, she always wanted to act. The Kedarnath actress, who did her undergrad at Columbia University, shared that her education has shaped her into this confident and individualistic person.
Speaking about it, she says:
I don’t think going to Columbia had anything to do with me not wanting to be an actor. If anything, I think I went there and learned how to be a little more independent and gained life experiences. I enjoyed studying history and political science as majors along with other subjects. Yet, having done all of this in the mecca of education, I realized that nothing was more interesting than the rush I felt before I went on stage to do theatre, which is another thing that I studied there. So I think if anything, going to Columbia made me realize how badly I wanted to be an actor.
Well, if that is your true calling, you just know it right?!
The actress has been on a roll ever since her debut, Kedarnath and her consequent blockbuster film, Simmba alongside Ranveer Singh. With 11 brand endorsements in her kitty, she sure has become the girl of the moment. She will be next seen in the Imtiaz Ali ‘s next, Aaj Kal, alongside Kartik Aaryan and in Coolie No. 1 opposite Varun Dhawan, both of which are slated to be released next year.
