Earlier this week, all of us Marvel fans were hit with the news of how Spider-Man might no longer be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Kevin Feige will no longer be a producer on Sony‘s upcoming Spider-Man movies. As you can imagine, fans all over the world were devasted and Twitter was trending with the hashtag #SaveSpiderMan. So much that even Tom Holland, who plays Peter Parker aka Spider-Man in the recent instalments of Spider-Man, and all the other Marvel movies reportedly unfollowed Sony Pictures on Instagram. What’s more? His father Dominic Holland also took to Twitter to express his concern by tweeting the hashtag #SaveSpiderMan.
Take a look:
It’s truly hard to imagine Spider-Man not being a part of the MCU especially after the character arc they had developed for the wall-crawler during the course of the last few movies. Last night, disheartened fans turned to Ryan Reynolds, who plays Marvel‘s potty-mouthed Deadpool, for help. Fans tweeted at the actor begging him to help keep Spider-Man in the MCU.
Another user took this opportunity to ask Ryan and Tom for a movie with Spider-Man and Deadpool. There were many fans who loved the idea and even Ryan responded to the tweet. He had his usual funny response to the whole discussion.

While his response was funny, this means that we will probably never see this happen. So more fans responded to Ryan’s message pleading him to make it happen.

I’m begging you too, Ryan! Could you not use your charm and sarcasm to make it happen?! I feel like two dudes – one in red and black and one in red and blue is what we need on our screens.
