Ever since Alia Bhatt made her foray into acting with Student Of The Year, she has proven her mettle time and again. With Highway, Raazi, Udta Punjab, Dear Zindagi and several other brilliant performances to her name, we always look forward to seeing Alia on screen.
The actress will soon be working with her father, Mahesh Bhatt in Sadak 2 and she has also signed Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s Inshallah opposite Salman Khan. These are surely exciting times for Alia and we are quite looking forward to see her pair up with Khan. Recalling the time when the news was confirmed to her, she told Bollywood Hungama:
I literally remember myself jumping. I was not in town, I was out of the country and I was doing something and I got a call and I was like… literally I ran to the corner and I jumped up and down for 5 minutes because I was so excited.
However, as they say, good news often comes in pairs. Therefore, criticism wasn’t far behind and there was reportedly a lot of backlash surrounding the lead pair’s age gap. But it doesn’t affect Alia’s enthusiasm as she feels Mr. Bhansali is a great director and the audience should simply trust his vision.
We agree with that! The Padmaavat director is truly a visionary and we are sure he has another mastermind piece of cinema in store for us with Inshallah. The film’s shooting begins next week.
