For many of us, if we ever come across a printed saree with contemporary motifs, the first question that pops in our mind is, “Will it suit me?” We all want to be fashion daredevils, especially when it comes to desi wear and experiment with new styles. But when it comes to quirky prints, we might hesitate. That being said, if you have ever seen a celeb wear a House Of Masaba saree, then that can be your starting point, as an inspo. Case in point: Kalki Koechlin‘s latest desi look.
Celebrity stylist duo Pranay Jaitly and Shounak Amonkar from Who Wore What When selected this luscious green saree from Masaba Gupta‘s resort collection. The Basil Unicorn print from the collection had a hint of pink, and that’s what made the hot pink sleeveless blouse look good as a contrast to the green saree. With such a busy print, a solid blouse, like this one, instantly worked like a magic against the saree. The delicate earrings and the ring from Vinita Michael Jewelcraft were the minimal accessories needed to balance the outfit.
Celebrity makeup and hairstylist Angelina Joseph continued to build the pop of colours through the eyeshadow but kept the lip tint in a neutral shade. The french braid complemented the whole look and gave an illusion of a headband.
