When we think of bandhani, immediately a traditional saree or a dupatta comes into our mind, but Indian designers are changing that equation now. Arpita Mehta‘s spring/summer 2019 collection, Folklore is doing just that and Tamannah Bhatia‘s recent look is proof.
For the press conference of her movie, Bole Chudiyan, celebrity stylist Sukriti Grover from team Style Cell selected this beautiful electric blue ensemble from Arpita’s Folklore collection for Tamannah. The tiered-ruffle jacket was just mesmerising silhouette to showcase the beautiful bandhani work. The tie-up corset with the indigenous work in the lighter blue shade makes for an interesting contrast and immediately accentuates her waist. The tiered-ruffle, gharara pants in solid electric blue balance out the rick work on the top. To complement this boho-chic look, Sukriti styled the look with some stellar oxidised accessories from Aquamarine Jewellery.
The boho look makes a statement on Tamannaah on its own! Alternatively, we can totally imagine this bandhani jacket styled with white flared pants and a huge, chunky tote bag.
