Bollywood has seen numerous cop films over the years. Be it a Deewar or a Gangaajal or the Singham and Dabangg series, there is no dearth of cop films in the industry. Arjun Patiala – starring Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma – is a cop film, but not your usual one! This trailer was presented by the cast on their social media as “Indian cinema ki 245th policewaali picture. Par India ka pehla honest trailer.” (sic) and we must agree! It has everything from a cute policeman, to a hot and dramatic heroine, the funny sidekick to the hero/policeman, a lot of villains and an item song featuring Sunny Leone!

Directed by Rohit Jugraj and written by Ritesh Shah and Sandeep Leyzell, we cannot wait to see what they do with these fun characters. Diljit is so good as the goofy policeman, we cannot help but love him! Kriti looks gorgeous in the film and is the perfect fit to play a dramatic journalist. Varun is at his hilarious best and won us over with his name in the film – Onida Singh! This sure does look like a fun spoof comedy and we cannot wait to watch it. The film also features Ronit Roy, Seema Pahwa and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and T-Series, Arjun Patiala is all set to release on July 26.
