Kabir Singh, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani, was received with rave reviews for its trailer, which released on May 13 of this year. Shahid plays a heartbroken alcohol addict –Kabir Singh – with so much passion and honesty, it translates into a raw and impactful performance. This one looks like it’s going to be another big hit with audiences and critics alike who have come to appreciate such soulful depictions of imperfect and relatable protagonists.
The new song from the film – Bekhyali – released today and it is a soulful song centred around Kabir‘s (Shahid Kapoor) addiction owing to his heartbreak. The song is sung by Sachet Tandon, with lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil. It is composed by Sachet-Parampara. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the song and it was well worth the wait, especially for Shahid Kapoor fans.
Here’s the video for Bekhyali from Kabir Singh:
Kiara and Shahid’s raw and passionate chemistry is something to look out for in the video. It justifies his absolute heartbreak in the other parts of the song, transporting us to the heart of their relationship and what promises to be an emotional ride. Sanchet Tandon’s soulful voice only adds to the mood of the film, and perfectly complements the on-screen narrative – at least what we’ve been able to see so far. We love when Hindi movie songs capture the essence of a movie and watching this one only makes us more excited for the release!
