Hina Khan made her debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year and we were all so proud of her. And why wouldn’t we be? It is because of her sheer hard work and dedication that she made it to the prestigious film festival. While most of us couldn’t stop talking about how stunning she looked, some trolled her debut appearance.
A journalist had shared the photo of the Kasautii Zindagii Kayy actress on the red carpet and written, “Cannes has suddenly become Chandivali studios kya?” Soon after, her fans and friends from the industry like Nakuul Mehta, Karanvir Bohra, Arjun Bijlani, and others came out in support of Hina and raised their voice against the unfair comment.
Now, Hina has finally reacted to the unpleasant comment. In an interview with Hindustan Times, she shared that she did feel disheartened to hear something like that.
She said:
Why would someone look down upon TV? Give us the opportunity and we will shine. If you can’t say anything good, don’t say this either. I have worked hard to be where I am. I know how I managed to shoot the film and my TV shoot. But, I can never play a victim as I have confidence in myself and I will prove my worth with time, with God’s grace. And I am grateful that so many people stood by me.
You go, girl!
