Alia Bhatt made her debut in Bollywood with Karan Johar‘s Student Of The Year in 2012. Since then, she has been a part of over 10 films but hasn’t done a single one with her father, Mahesh Bhatt. It is finally going to happen with Sadak 2 where Mr Bhatt will be directing her. In an interview with PTI, the Raazi actress spoke about how working with her father professionally is going to be a different ball game altogether.
She said:
It will never be easy as I don’t know him as a director, I know him as a dad. Working with him as a director will be a different ball game altogether. I am excited. It is an exciting film. My father is very silent on most of the things. But I still don’t know how he will be on the sets.
Mahesh Bhatt, whose last directorial was Kartoos which released in 1999, is directing a film after a long time. It was Sanjay Dutt who convinced him to direct a film again. Alia shared, “Sanju pushed him this time. I did not. He is my father and he is always unpredictable. He has done the most unpredictable thing of directing a film after a long time.”
Coming to Sadak 2, it is a sequel to the 1991 release which starred Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay in the lead. Sadak 2 will also star the original leads along with Alia and Aditya Roy Kapur.
