Whenever actor are asked questions they are not comfortable answering, they either dodge it or ignore it completely. Very rarely do we see stars give their honest opinion when they are asked such questions. But looks like Arjun Mathur is a little hatke from the rest of his contemporaries. Recently, he made an appearance for an episode of Zoom’s By Invite Only along with Kubra Sait. On the show, he was asked to name the most overrated actor in the industry by the host, Renil Abraham and he didn’t give any diplomatic answer. “I don’t think Sidharth Malhotra is a good actor,” he said.
Kubra too was very honest about her opinion when she was asked about the overrated Bollywood films. She picked Sanju and The Accidental Prime Minister as her answer. Arjun, who played the role of Rahul Gandhi in The Accidental Prime Minister was quick to add, “I got hate for The Accidental Prime Minister and I hate myself for doing that!”
Coming to their choice of roles, both, Arjun and Kubra have picked unconventional characters and played it with so much conviction. After people saw Arjun’s performance as a homosexual character in Zoya Akhtar‘s Made In Heaven, they actually got inspired by him.
Arjun shared:
Around 10 people wrote to me that they have been able to come out (of the closet and speak) to their families because of my role.
Kubra, who has impressively brought a transgender character to life in Sacred Games, added, “I know someone who said (to me), you gave me the courage and I’m going ahead with my (sex change) operation!”
These two are such phenomenal actors, aren’t they?
BTW, have you seen this video of Arjun Mathur yet?
