When Vahbiz Dorabji and Vivian Dsena announced their divorce, the television world was in for a huge shock. The two actors met on the sets of their serial – Pyaar Ki Ek Kahaani – and dated for three years before getting married in 2013. They were touted as the most loved couple in television and their separation broke the hearts of their fans.
They tried living apart and making the marriage work, but when it couldn’t be salvaged, they finally decided to end it in 2016. Three years later, their divorce still hasn’t materialised and rumour mills are abuzz about the reason for the delay. Hindustan Times reported that Vahbiz demanded a 2 crore alimony as compensation that has led to a disagreement between the two parties. Other reports also circulated news about her various link-ups during the time.
Reacting to these reports, Vahbiz took to her social media page and released an open letter “To the people who are most concerned about her divorce”.

These are quite hard-hitting questions that Vabhiz has pointed out, and rightly so! A celebrity divorce will certainly attract media attention. But it is not right to dismiss a public personality’s right to keep certain details private. And going by Vahbiz’s accusations, I think it’s quite disheartening that people are questioning her decisions and actions just because she is a woman. We hope the former couple manages to sort their divorce amicably.
