Team MM: Happy Gudi Padwa! Let’s begin with knowing how you celebrate Gudi Padwa at home.
Ankita:
First of all, Happy Gudi Padwa! I have celebrated Gudi Padwa with so much joy because I am Marathi and you know it is a Marathi festival. It’s supposed to be a new year for Marathis, so we all get ready for this and ek Gudi hoti hai jisko saari pehna ke, you fix outside the house, so that jitni positivity hoti hai, vo ghar aa sake. This is how I celebrate.
Team MM: What has been your fondest memory of the festival?
Ankita:
I think bachpan mein you know my mom dad taiyaar hote the aur Arpan (younger brother) and my papa voh hi Gudi lagate the, voh aise kehte the ki ghar ka ladka gudi lagata hai. har ka jo bhi hota hai. So my papa or my brother used to fix it. That’s the memory I have in my mind. And Shrikhand Pudi banti thi, so vo ek achi memory hai.
Team MM: You have made your Bollywood debut and everyone has loved your performance. Have you sketched a plan for your Bollywood journey?
Ankita:
Yes, of course I have made a debut. But I have no plans as such for my Bollywood journey.
Team MM: People have a list of roles they want to do, but is there any role that you would never say yes to?
Ankita:
I think jo bhi aayega, I am just going to take that on a positive note and start. I would love to read good scripts and love to do good films so that I can motivate people and inspire people.
Team MM: Since Gudi Padwa marks the beginning of a new year, we want to be around people who are the most important to us. We have seen your photos with Vicky Jain on Holi. Will you also be celebrating this special festival also with him?
Ankita:
I am with my family right now and I am celebrating it my family so that’s super exciting.
We wish everyone a very happy Gudi Padwa! Hope you have a wonderful, blessed year ahead.
