After Zero, Shah Rukh Khan‘s next project was supposed to be another film based on space. He was roped in for astronaut Rakesh Sharma‘s biopic Saare Jahan Se Achha. But unfortunately, recent reports suggest that the star has backed out of the project. While earlier reports cited that the superstar was skeptical about another project about space after Zero, now, the writer of SJSA, Anjum Rajabali has revealed that this is not the case.
The writer suggested that this may have nothing to do with the subject matter being based on space but it was probably the failure of Zero that pushed Shah Rukh to take this decision.
At a panel discussion at FICCI Frames, Anjum revealed,
If you’re asking me, there was a problem with the script of ‘Zero’. Himanshu Sharma, the writer is a very talented person but things go wrong sometimes. I don’t think he said no to ‘Saare Jahan Se Achcha’ because of the space angle. I think he’s also pretty shaken up, he was banking a lot on that.
Whatever the reason for SRK’s exit, we hope the superstar finds a script to his liking. In other news, there have been reports of Shah Rukh, Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt coming together for a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film. Now this is one film we would absolutely love to watch.
What about you?
