Kareena Kapoor Khan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas were on the final episode of Koffee With Karan season 6 last night. It was befitting to have the ladies grace the famous couch for this episode, if you ask me. Both are superstars in their own right – they are stellar performers with fulfilling career graphs, and most importantly, they have been Koffee regulars.
Not just any regulars though, their previous appearances on the show are dotted with catty comments and snide remarks ABOUT EACH OTHER. Ouch! How come then the two agreed to come together? Simple, because both Bebo and PeeCee have come a long way and put the past behind them. They know better than holding onto statements made in jest or out of spite.
Anyway, the much anticipated episode was a fun watch, needless to say. But the highlight was Karan Johar making the ladies revisit the nasty things they said about each other on their previous visits. Yeah, I know what you are thinking – KJo knows where it hits the hardest.
Remember when Priyanka chose ‘Hips Don’t Lie‘ as Kareena’s caller tune or when the latter wanted to know from where PC gets her accent. Each witty remark was succeeded with a comeback. The ladies are clearly more chilled out now and laughed at it all in retrospect. They admitted being drama queens and in hindsight, laughed at their clothes, hair and makeup, looks and everything they said.
Priyanka and Kareena have surely come a long way and it was endearing to see them support each other, acknowledge each other’s success and appreciate their individual journeys. More power to you, ladies! You make us happy and proud, both on and off screen.
