The entire nation was shocked and aggrieved after the recent Pulwama attacks which killed 44 CRPF Jawaans. Many celebs are voicing their views on the cruel incident and PM Narendra Modi has also been proactive with his response.
Recently, TV personality and Punjab’s Cabinet minister, Navjot Singh Sidhu faced flak for his comments on the current political situation. As per a report in The Hindu, Sidhu said in a media interaction:
Nations cannot be held responsible for the dastardly acts of terrorists. The terrorists do not have deen, mazhab (sect and religion). There are good, the bad and the ugly. Every institution has them. Every nation has them. The ugly need to be punished.
The comment led to a huge uproar on Twitter and hashtags like #BoycottSidhu, #BoycottKapilSharmaShow and #BoycottSonyTV started trending on Twitter. He was eventually ousted from The Kapil Sharma Show and also refused to comment on the action taken by the channel.
We also hear that the politician is being replaced by Archana Puran Singh but this hasn’t been confirmed yet.
