Vampire facials sure sound scary and definitely look their part as well. They came into the spotlight when Kim Kardashian West underwent the procedure on her show, Kim and Kourtney Take Miami. She later confessed that she regretted doing the procedure as it was very painful.
Vampire facials basically use your own blood which is processed and then injected back into your face. Platelets are believed to have anti-aging and skin rejuvenating properties when injected back into the skin.
2. Bird Dropping Facials
Angelina Jolie and Victoria Beckham are supposedly huge fans of the bird dropping facials. These facials are also called geisha facials. They originated in Japan and make use of Nightingale poop, which is dried, sanitized and powdered. The droppings contain enzymes and guanine, that are great for exfoliating the skin and giving it a healthy glow.
3. 24k Pure Gold Leaf Face Mask
Irina Shayk and other supermodels are known for their ethereal good looks and glowy skin, and they all apparently love this luxurious facial. Mimi Luzon, a celebrity skin care expert is the mastermind behind this facial. The gold facial reduces redness, signs of aging and also increases radiance and elasticity of the skin. Who wouldn’t wanna feel like royalty while getting this facial done?
4. Bee Venom Face Masks
A few years ago, the Duchess Of Cornwall admitted that she uses bee venom for its effective anti-aging qualities. It is also believed to be a natural alternative to botox and boosts collagen formation. Other influential people such as Kate Middleton, Victoria Beckham, and Gwyneth Paltrow have also joined in on the buzz and bee venom face masks have hence surged in popularity.
5. Snail Slime Facials
Snail slime isn’t anything new in the world of K-beauty but is now gaining a lot of attention in the west as well. Makeup maven Huda Kattan and Katie Holmes love snail slime for skin care. It is known to hydrate the skin, fade acne scars and hyperpigmentation and gives way to a clearer and even skin tone. Some brave people even let these creatures straight-up crawl around on their face!

Also known as the Epidermal Growth Factor Serum, this facial involves the use of stem cells which are extracted from the circumcision of newborn Korean babies. Isn’t that the most bizarre thing you’ve ever heard?
7. Ruby & Diamond Facial
This incredibly indulgent facial comes at a heavy price of $7000 and has claimed many famous actresses as its fans, Mila Kunis being one of them. The client’s face is rubbed with precious jewels that apparently have antioxidant properties. Further, a nourishing facial is applied and the client is asked to suck on an ice cube, in order to reduce inflammation and puffiness.
