Shah Rukh Khan has been in the film industry for a long time now, 26 years to be precise. In this duration, he has managed to create a huge fan-base for himself, not just in India but across the globe. From being an actor, a TV host and then an entrepreneur he is truly a man with multiple talents. However, we haven’t seen SRK take up the ‘director’ role yet. Have you ever wondered why? Well, the Baadshah of Bollywood has finally revealed the reason in a recent interview with DNA.
The actor told the leading daily:
Not yet yaar. It’s difficult for me to get into direction. I can imagine what the story is going to be like. However, I don’t ‘really know’ it.
The actor also mentioned that he believes direction is a lonely job. He said he doesn’t want to take on that role right now as his youngest son, AbRam Khan is still growing up. Khan was of the opinion that if he directed a film, he’d be busy with work for 2 years at a stretch. He insisted he wasn’t willing to let that be the case as he wanted to watch AbRam grow up.
While it would be great to see SRK put on the director’s hat, we love watching him on the big screen too much to just let him be behind the camera. After all, it’s his memorable characters that have earned him the title of King of romance.
