The heart-wrenching stories of 26/11 Mumbai attacks still makes us shudder and always will. It was one of the darkest times Mumbai has ever seen and the country is still recovering from the emotional damage. And so, when the official trailer of Hotel Mumbai came out, we could not help but go through those flashbacks once again.
The trailer of Hotel Mumbai tells us about the gripping true story of the 2008 siege on Mumbai’s Taj Hotel. The film has a power-packed cast which includes Anupam Kher, Dev Patel among many others. The 3 minute 4 second long trailer shows us a snippet of the gruesome attack on Mumbai’s Taj Hotel by a Pakistani terrorist group named Lashkar–e–Taiba. From the trailer, we can make out that Anupam Kher is playing the role of the renowned chef Hemant Oberoi and Dev Patel as a waiter. They both further go on to make some unimaginable sacrifices in order to ensure the safety of their guests. Amidst all this, another couple also goes through a hard journey to save their newborn baby.
The trailer looks extremely promising and realistic. Emotions and feelings that must have been felt by the people trapped are showcased aptly in the trailer. The one line that really stood out for me in the trailer is, ‘Any of you have families at home, there is no shame in leaving’ which is said by Anupam Kher. If the trailer looks so chilling, we can only imagine how the movie is going to be!
