This time around the outfit she wore for the trailer launch of her upcoming film, Gully Boy, is one of the most unconventional outfits we’ve seen her in, lately.
The moment she stepped onto that stage alongside Ranveer Singh, we couldn’t help but pull out our phones and head straight to celebrity stylist, Ami Patel‘s Instagram page to find out deets of this look. Ami picked out this dress for Alia from designer Jonathan Simkhai‘s Pre-Fall 2018 collection and paired it with coral peep-toe boots.
From the handkerchief hem to the double-breasted bodice, this dress was the most unexpectedly sexy outfit we’ve seen on Alia. Although at first, the sleeves might have felt like they were from another outfit altogether, they sure were a clever, welcomed addition.
Designer Jonathan Simkhai‘s ace tailoring was showcased in this outfit with the way it merged a summer-y handkerchief dress, a trenchcoat, and a billowy-sleeved pinstripe shirt seamlessly—and Alia pulled it off pretty perfectly.
