When a man proposes to the love of his life, one of the many thoughts that run through the bride-to-be‘s head is the wedding planning. Picking a date isn’t as tough as the planning that goes behind it. Everything needs to be done in a certain way within a certain period of time. For a bride, however, her beauty regime is of high priority because looking and feeling good is of utmost importance. So we’ve rounded up a few things that need to be scheduled in advance before the big day.
1. Diet
Make sure to start eating healthy, home-cooked food at least 20 days before the wedding. Stay away from oily, spicy and heaty food for a bit as it can cause your skin to break out.
2. Hair Removal
Make sure to shape your eyebrows, thread your upper lip and get a Brazilian wax 3 days before your wedding as it takes 2 days for the skin to settle down. Wax your legs 4-5 days before and wax your underarms and hands 3 days before the big day. If you’re planning to bleach your face, do it 5-6 days before so that your skin settles by the 6th day.
3. Haircut
It takes at least 4-5 washes for your hair to sit well after a haircut. But we still suggest a good 15-20 day break between the haircut and wedding day for it to shape nicely.
4. Manicure
If you’re opting for gel nails, then go for it only post your mehendi ceremony so there are lesser chances of stains on your nails. Till then, for the mehendi ceremony, shape your natural nails and apply a nice colour that matches your outfit.
5. Bleaching
Bleaching can aggravate your skin (of course, it totally depends on different skin types). It’s safe to do this at least a week before the actual ceremony.
6. Facial
You never know what ingredients react negatively with your skin. Make sure to avoid risking your skin and get a facial around 10-15 days before your D-day.
7. Face Packs
Start using bi-weekly face packs 30 days before the wedding. We recommend you to use natural ingredients like honey, yoghurt, cucumbers from home instead of risking it with chemicalised packs.
So, make sure that all these are well timed before your wedding day so you don’t need to rush through or skip any of them.
