2018 has been a year of content-driven movies that did epic business at the box-office. Among those were some newbie actors that made their debut and left their mark like Janhvi Kapoor, Ishan Khatter, Sara Ali Khan and so on. As we draw closer to the end of this year, here are new faces that we might get to see on the big screen in 2019. Mind you, some of them are already making news for their appearances and who they’re being launched by. It’s safe to say, the coming year will gift us a lot of new and promising faces. So, here’s a comprehensive list of all those actors/actresses we’re looking forward to watching in the New Year.
Abhimanyu Dassani
Abhimanyu is already an actor that has made waves with his performance. For those unaware, he is the son of the Maine Pyar Kiya actress Bhagyasree and has already won the Best New Young Actor Award at The International Film Festival & Awards, Macao for his role in Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. The movie has tells the story of a young man Surya who suffers from Congenital insensitivity – a rare condition in which one cannot feel pain. The movie is being described as one of the best in the action-comedy genre and we’re super excited to see Abhimanyu in theatres very soon!
Sanjana Sanghi
Technically this might not be her big screen debut, but it definitely is her debut being a leading lady. Sanjana has appeared in mainstream films like Rockstar and Fukrey. But she will make her debut in a leading role alongside Sushant Singh Rajput with Kizzie Aur Manny – the Hindi version of The Fault In Our Stars. If her acting in Rockstar as Nargis Fakhri‘s sister is anything to go by, we have one helluva performance to look forward to.
Zaheer Iqbal
You know it’s going to be an epic debut when Salman Khan himself vouches for you. One of the young stars that Salman announced that he would be launching in the coming year is Zaheer Iqbal. Apparently, Salman spotted Zaheer at his sister’s wedding function and was impressed by his performance deciding then and there that he would launch the young actor. The movie is a love story set in Kashmir called Notebook.
Pranutan Bahl
After Zaheer, Salman turns mentor for yet another starlet and it is Pranutan Bahl, daughter of Salman’s friend and popular Bollywood actor Monish Bahl. Both Zaheer and Pranutan will be making their debut with the same movie named Notebook slated for release in March 2019.
Isabelle Kaif
Isabelle Kaif is already a known face on social media, for the shutterbugs, and at award shows. She is gearing up to make her debut in Bollywood alongside Sooraj Pancholi in a dance-based movie called Time To Dance. If the surname wasn’t a dead giveaway already, let me just tell you that she is Katrina Kaif’s younger sister.
Surilie Jasraaj Singh
Another star sister is gearing up for her Bollywood debut in 2019 and it is Yami Gautam‘s younger sister Surilie. While Surilie has already made her Punjabi film debut, this will be her first Bollywood venture. She will star in a Rajkumar Santoshi‘s untitled film based on the battle of Saragarhi alongside Randeep Hooda.
Ahan Shetty
Ahan Shetty will join the leagues of Tiger Shroff because recently producer Sajid Nadiadwala announced launching Suniel Shetty‘s son in the remake of Telugu superhit movie RX 100 that is slated to release in 2019. What’s interesting is that Sajid had also launched Suniel Shetty 25 years ago.
Mohit Raina
Mohit Raina might be a known face on TV, but he is all set to make his big screen debut with URI-The Surgical Strike– the military drama set on the real Uri attack. He will star alongside Vicky Kaushal and the movie is slated to release at the beginning of the year. Mohit was one of the most loved faced on TV, we’re sure he’ll wow us with his big screen persona as well.
Karan Deol
Another star kid that is ready to dip their toes into the acting pool is Sunny Deol‘s son Karan Deol. Sunny Deol will be directing his son in his debut film Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas which is produced by Vijyeta films, which Sunny paji co-owns. The Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se star announced his son’s debut on Twitter and it was welcomed by many Bollywood stars welcoming him into the industry as well.
Ananya Panday
After Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in 2018, Dharma Production and Karan Johar will next be seen launching starlet Ananya Panday. Ananya is the daughter of Bollywood actor Chunky Panday and is set to star in the second installation of Student Of The Year 2 alongside Tiger Shroff. The first part, launched Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra and if that was anything to go by, we’re super excited for the second part and the newbies that it promises.
Tara Sutaria
Tara Sutaria is yet another starlet that will be launched through SOTY 2 alongside Ananya and Tiger Shroff. The movie will be another college drama and it will be directed by Punit Malhotra. But Tara is no stranger to acting as she has two successful Disney Channel sitcoms to her credit. So, we’re super excited to see this Disney kid on the big screen.
Ankita Lokhande
Ankita is not a new face at all. But it is definitely her first step in Bollywood with historical drama Manikarnika alongside Kangana Ranaut. She plays the role of Jhalkaribai in the drama. What a great way to make an entry in Bollywood right?
Karan Kapadia
Twinkle Khanna‘s cousin brother Karan Kapadia will be seen in a Tony D’souza directorial next year. And turns out that it was Twinkle’s husband Akshay Kumar that introduced the starlet to the director. He even urged the actor to prep for his debut by giving him fitness tips as well.
Alaia Furniturewalla
Alaia is already quite a celebrity on social media with several fan clubs to her credit. She is currently prepping for her Bollywood debut with Nitin Kakkar‘s Jawani Janeman headlined by Saif Ali Khan. She will be seen playing Saif Ali Khan‘s daughter in the film. In real life, she is the daughter of former Bollywood actress and television host Pooja Bedi.
Iulia Vantur
After her Bollywood singing debut, Salman Khan‘s rumoured girlfriend is all set to make her big screen debut with the movie Radha Kyon Gori, Main Kyon Kaala. She plays a non-Indian Krishna Bhakt who comes to the country and falls in love with the country and culture. Iulia will be joining a list of debutants launched by Salman Khan as well.
