1. Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in Padmaavat
While we wouldn’t have minded Ranveer romancing his then girlfriend, Deepika on screen for the third time, it was very refreshing to see DP opposite Shahid Kapoor. There was something very soothing about their chemistry, best witnessed in this romantic song from the film:
2. Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in Raazi
Alia and Vicky’s romance was just the backdrop of this wonderful film, but it was still essential to the plot. Both are great artistes in their own right – one is a mainstream favourite while the other is a critically acclaimed actor gradually becoming popular with the masses. Together, they gelled very well on the big screen.
3. Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput in Kedarnath
Sara had us excited before her debut film even released in theatres. She held her own in front of an experienced actor like Sushant, and they made each other look all the more better on screen.
4. Sara Ali Khan and Ranveer Singh in Simmba
The film is yet to release, yes, but something about Sara’s confidence tells me that she’ll shine through even with an established actor opposite her. From some of the trailer rushes, songs and promotional activities we have seen so far, Sara and Ranveer look damn good together. Who knows, maybe they’ll be the jodi no. 1 in 2025?!
5. Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in Dhadak
A heartbreaking tale of love and romance needs to get one thing right – a palpable chemistry between the lead pair. Janhvi and Ishaan nailed that department and both of them were an apt fit for the characters they played. BTW, we hear that love might be blooming between them in real life as well. Ahem!
6. Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan in Sui Dhaaga
When two mega stars come together for a film, expectations run high from them. It’s a double win if they manage to deliver a hit in a non-glamorous role. Definitely rooting to see Anushka and Varun together in a film again.
Bonus!
7. Kartik Aaryan & Sunny Singh
#SorryNotSorry! Can you blame us though?! Their reel life bromance was loved by all and we hope to be blessed with a #BroForLife like Sonu in our lives too.
