Late actor Vinod Khanna‘s first wife, Geetanjali Taleyarkhan, reportedly passed away at the age of 70 on Saturday, December 15. The veteran actor’s wife was at the family’s Mandwa farmhouse when she complained of uneasiness, and was taken to a nearby hospital by her son and actor, Akshaye Khanna.
As per a report in Mid-Day, she returned home after the treatment and later fell unconscious. Geetanjali was then rushed to a hospital in Alibaug where she was declared dead. Akshaye’s brother, Rahul Khanna immediately left for Alibaug from Mumbai upon hearing the news. Her last rites were performed on Sunday.
Vinod Khanna died last year in April and he too, was the age of 70. The two got divorced in 1985 and the actor later married Kavita in 1990 with whom he has a son, Sakshi and a daughter, Shraddha.
