Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are finally husband and wife, and their dreamy wedding pictures and snippets of their white wedding are all over the internet. While we’re still reeling under the magnificence and sheer beauty of their wedding, Parineeti Chopra just revealed another interesting detail from their Hindu wedding ceremony and we are in awe.
She gave us some interesting insights into the Joota Chhupayi ceremony. Earlier this year, she had revealed how she had discussed her shoe hiding fee with her jiju.
She had said,
I was sitting with Nick only two nights ago and I was telling him that we needed to lock in our final amount. I quoted 5 million USD (around Rs 37 crore).” To which Nick had told Chopra, “OK, I’ll give you 10 dollars.
She had broached the subject again when Nick had commented on one of Pari’s Instagram pictures with Priyanka, asking her if she’d introduce him to her sister to which she had demanded a 5 million dollar shoe-hiding fee.
Right after the buzz around the wedding pictures died down, the internet naturally started wondering about how much Nick would have had to shell out to get back his shoes, and Pari took to clearing the air with a Tweet of her own.
