It’s time for some festivity! Diwali is here and so are the goodies, the lights and the festive vibe! We love this festival for all the traditions that it brings. The colourful rangolis, the beautiful diya decorations and that delicious food we all get to eat during this time. And let’s not forget those parties we all head for during these days. All friends and family gather around to celebrate. But hosting this party could be pretty hectic. Especially if it is last minute. So, here are a few things you should include in your Diwali party checklist if you’re hosting an impromptu one.
1. Get Some Booze
A fully-loaded bar is what most Diwali parties consist of. Have cute props by the bar like quirky themed stirrers, coasters and more.
2. Have A Theme
A Diwali theme, maybe a card party theme, would be perfect for the evening. Coordinate the decor with these props to make it look seamless.
3. Fun Giveaways
Make small gifts and keep them by the door at home. When your guests are about to leave, hand them one of these gifts. You could keep these gifts traditional and give out dry fruits and mithai, or go the modern route by giving out scented candles and chocolates.
4. Fun Music
Bollywood music is mostly enjoyed at Diwali parties. Keep a playlist ready so you don’t have to keep heading to your system to change the tracks.
5. Games
Make the party interactive by keeping playing cards or other board games at the party.
6. Guest List
Sort out your guest list in advance so you know how many people you’re expected to host. You can then order food and other supplies accordingly.
7. Snacks
Not everyone wants to eat a proper meal during these parties, at least at first. So, just keep few snacks around for people to munch on initially. We suggest you stick to traditional snacks like chakli and bhakarwadi.
Now, you’re all set for a fun Diwali party. Tell us how it turned out in the comments below!
